In not so recent news, these gals turned 6! On November 5th, we celebrated having these gifts in our lives for 6 years! They are growing in grace and beauty, love of God and each other. I couldn't imagine more precious girls!
Emma requested an icecream cake, while Sami had a rainbow one.
We sang happy birthday three times. Once for Samantha, once for Emma
and once for Jessie-Lynn so she wouldn't feel left out (their idea:)
Three musketeers!
So, what have we been up to in the last 8 weeks? October was busy with me working flu vaccine clinics throughout Maryland and keeping up with the girls school schedule. Em and Sam are loving their classes, their teacher is fantastic, and they are eager to keep up on the home part of things. Tin whistle is perhaps my least favorite class, and art is their favorite. Jessie is also begging to 'do school' so we've started her on some pre-school stuff. It's neat to see them growing and learning and loving it. A quick trip to Canada, Reformation service, Francis gone for a week, and lots of fall festival stuff happened in October.
November was busy, with hosting local presbytery at our church, a harvest dinner at church, a women's conference for me, cooking a couple of turkeys, american Thanksgiving, family coming to visit, friends from Michigan coming to visit, strep throat x4 people, and lots of stuff.
So Far December has been following suit. With a Christmas lights tour, gingerbread house decorating party, Christmas party for church women, Christmas party for neighbourhood, for couples, for kids and for classical conversations, along with a double ear infection for Levi, it feels like we haven't had a chance to catch our breath! Tis the season, right? We're looking forward to a whirlwind visit to Ontario in December!
